The weight enumerators of the doubly even selfdual codes change to modular 

forms by substituting of theta functions of the lattice $\sqrt{2}\bZ$ to their 

variables. In this paper we present the background informations about the 

connection between weight enumerators of codes and modular forms based on the 

inversion formula of theta functions of an integral lattice.
