In this paper, we deal with an iteration process 
for an asymptotically nonexpansive mapping 
and prove a strong convergence theorem 
for the mapping in Banach spaces, which is 
a generalization of the recent result of 
Shioji and Takahashi \cite{Shioji-c}.
